Ministries
Children and Youth
Manor has a history of involvement with young people, and we are passionate about leading young people to Jesus, discipling them and training them in servant leadership. We offer Friday youth programmes, Sunday School classes up to Grade 12, as well as outreach Bible stories with our food parcel initiative. As the need arises, we get involved in other youth-related activities such as educational support, outreach to children's homes, Educational outings, youth outreach and social support. Our annual July Holiday Club is legendary and provides a good opportunity for high school youth to grow their leadership skills.
Missions
Manor is very missions focussed with a regular percentage of our monthly budget going to approximately 10 missionaries across South Africa. Every Sunday morning we focus on one missionary and their needs, getting updates on their ministry and praying for them.
Worship Ministry
Manor is blessed with musical talent, young and old. We welcome musicians who love the Lord and are skilled, as well as the younger up and coming musicians. We offering training and opportunities for our young people to get involved and learn the technical side of the services, equipping them with sound desk and live streaming skills. Towards the end of the year we hold a Carols Service, an important beginning to the Christmas Season. Attended by members, visitors and the community, we welcome all who would like to attend. It is normally held on the last Sunday evening of November
Local Outreach
Manor Community Church is situated in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg and close to Alexandra township and Marlboro We run an outreach Bible Story time with food parcel distribution to a small number of families in Marlboro once a month, offering age appropriate activities for all the children who join in. In collaboration with the South Africa Telugu Christian Fellowship we run children's activities at their Christmas Outreach each year.
Ladies Ministry
Manor ladies ministry hosts two events annually for the ladies of Manor and their friends, and is also actively involved in hosting and catering for a number of other social events through the year. The May ladies tea is a time for everyone to draw aside from their busy lives and enjoy a time of reflection, scripture meditation and introspection. We usually invite a speaker to share her testimony at the end of year ladies breakfast.
